We want to say thank you to Todd and Denise Sheldon and to Shane and Vivian Mountjoy for all their years of service to East Hill in their role as shepherds. We want to also thank their children for sharing their parents with us; there are many times when the family has to “take a back seat” when the church presents urgent needs that must be addressed. These two families have faithfully served the Lord’s church for many years and through many challenges. East Hill has been richly blessed by their dedicated and skillful work for the congregation. We are grateful for their leadership and wish them well as they continue serving the Lord’s body in this new phase of their lives.

The fall clothing giveaway at East Hill Church of Christ will be Saturday, October 24 from 8 a.m. to noon. Because of anticipated high numbers we encourage patrons to wear a mask. Hand sanitizer will be provided. To reduce crowding, it is requested that if possible, non-shoppers not attend or wait outside.
New Directed Health Measures (DHM’s) will be in effect beginning September 14. Four Corners Health Department has announced that we will be in Phase IV beginning September 14. Phase IV lifts restrictions for churches with less than 500 people in attendance.
After looking at our recent attendance for both services, we would have less than 500 if we moved back to one service. We discussed at our last elders’ meeting about what would be best for East Hill. We realize that some would want to come together as a large group, and we realize that some would prefer two services with social distancing. We decided to continue through the month of September with two services, take note of the number of Covid-19 cases in the county, and evaluate the benefit of one service vs. two services. We hope you'll join us for either of the services, OR join us online on the Facebook stream at 10:30 on Sundays. |
