Are you In (Ecuador)? By Brenda Sikes
High school students (and parents of High school students), would you like to have a life-changing experience by sharing Christ love with disadvantaged individuals in Ecuador next summer? Our summer 2014 trip to Ecuador will take place sometime between May 25 and June 8. We expect the trip to be 8 - 10 days long. Josh Marcum, the missionary supported by East Hill, is currently identifying ways in which we can best be of service. We anticipate working with the newly-established church in Latacunga, a small city of 50,000 people that is located approximately 90 minutes south of the capital city of Quito in the Andes Mountains. The cost of the trip will be $1,300 - $1,500. Fundraising activities will help reduce the amount participants owe. An initial deposit in the amount of $100, due by November 1, will secure airfare for those planning to be a part of this mission trip. Our first informational meeting will take place on Sunday, October 6, at a sandwich lunch in the fellowship hall following our morning services. High school students and their families are invited to attend. Please bring $2 per attendee to help defray the cost of the meal. We hope you’re in!
